Appointment Scheduling
You can book your appointments online for up to 30 days in advance.
I will be available for regular office visits and extended office visits. Regular office visits will be approximately 15 minutes long and could be any of the following: routine visits, follow-ups, same day urgent visits, minor procedures, well baby checks, prenatal visits. Extended office visits will last for about 30 minutes and could be counseling visits, mental health issues visits, periodic health exams.
If you need an urgent same day visit and there are no spots available on the online schedule, please call the office at (289) 651-1550 and I will try my best to accommodate you. I will decide if the matter can be safely addressed virtually (and call you that day), or if I need to see you in the office. I will not see walk-ins.
If you prefer to have a virtual visit/phone call, I will be available on Wednesdays. You can book that online as well. Please be aware that if I deem necessary to assess you in person for your concern at the time we talk, I will ask you to book an in-person appointment.
In the event that you have to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call as soon as possible to allow other patients to use your reserved appointment time. You can easily cancel your appointment booked online by following the instructions you will receive in the appointment confirmation email.
Missed appointments with less than 24 hours notice will be charged $30.00.
Telephone Messages
Our phones will be answered during business hours ONLY. If you call outside business hours, the automated greetings voice message will direct you to the appropriate services. For instance, you can call TeleHealth to request to see the on-call physician for the Bolton FHG group, of which I am a member, for after hours coverage. Or you can go to an Urgent Care clinic. Please remember that you will have access to the online booking 24/7.
Prescription Policies
If you need a refill of your medication, please proactively discuss it with me at your visit.
As per OHIP policies, prescriptions without a visit are not covered under OHIP and you will be charged a $20 fee for the service.
If you need a prescription refill, please book a phone appointment for review and avoid being charged. I will only make some exceptions for my senior patients.
Preventative Medicine
I strongly believe in preventative medicine. There are some changes on guidelines for cancer screening. Please visit cancercareontario.ca for updated guidelines.
Uninsured Services
Most of the medical services I provide are covered by OHIP. However, the government does not pay for all medical services. The cost of these uninsured services is the responsibility of the patient, although some may be fully or partially refundable by certain private or group insurance providers. There is a list posted on each of our exam rooms with all the provided uninsured services and their cost.
